If I don’t get the color I want, I will always have a regretful feeling everytime I look in the garage. I’d say the only time I don’t think about color is when I’m driving. Im 50/50 between white and dgm! Can’t decide right now..

Very. It has more to do with what I'll be looking at and admiring when it's clean than what's easier to maintain. I currently own black, but plan on washing it more often than a pack-a-day smoker smokes, with some wax love, of course.

Last two Subie were DGM, which I LOVED, although with the 2011 WRX I almost ordered in Satin White. The STI was World Rally, which was EASY to keep clean-looking. The 2001 RS was Black Diamond Pearl...

Color choice matters to some people more than others so it's hard to say whether you should settle for WRB or not. Personally, WRB is my first choice for the BRZ. Red suits the FRS so much better imo. Red is a true Toyota color and I dont think it flows that well with the blue Subaru emblem. That's just my opinion though.

Also silver is such an underrated color.. I prefer it much more over asphalt

I'm thinking of driving 4 hours next month to look at one that has the WR Blue Pearl to make sure my wife will like it and maybe order one. Of course we still have to find a Focus ST3 to drive and see the Tangerine Scream color. Bottom line is in a few months I'll be driving one of the two. I keep cars forever, this maybe my first and last ever new car purchase.

1. I didnt know what to expect
2. argento actually is really easy to keep clean
3. it doesnt STAND OUT so it doesnt attract cops as much
4. its a more classy color
5. paint chips dont reveal themselves unless you are a foot away from the car
6. harder to see swirl marks if they ever happen
7. spend longer times between washing(im always busy/tired)
8. since i have to be in a million places at once, the car is nimble enough to get me from point a to point be swiftly, also its a lot of fun in downtown dallas during the middle of the day when the streets are pretty clear
9. after the first drive it blew 5 years of expectations out of the water

it leaves me completely happy with my choice i made almost 5 years ago to save up and get the car first before thousands of other people, and keep that car as long as it doesnt rust out
you knew about this car for 5 years?

you knew about this car for 5 years?
there was a render in a magazine 5 years ago
code name 086A

picture from 2008

funny thing is they had the price pretty right but second pic is from early 2009

http://www.autoblog.com/2007/07/06/w...eap-rwd-coupe/
that link is for an article july 2007, i got my car may 28th 2012 so yeah i waited 5 years lol...
i really wish someone here had the 2007 magazine picture on file

EDIT and not to mention the first rumors date back to march 2007 , i was driving an 05 corolla, did research, came across the AE86, then came across the 086A, then became FT-86, then became FRS what i drive today, in that time i fully built one car by myself, tracked it and raced it in preparation for this car, i even went out and bought a manual car with no previous manual experience, just so i knew what i might want when the time came( you know so i dont crash my car when i finally get it)
in reality this was my dream car, and now i have it, blame fast and the furious for making me this way..., i remember watching those movies and wanting a supra, now i own a FRS, and the BRZ is going to be in the Fast and furious 6 movie... there will be a kid out there watching fast and furious 6, and by the time he is my age, will have the BRZ/FRS of that era because of something he saw in a movie over a decade before hand...

A few hundred dollars won't make up for the years of 'wishing' you would have got what you really wanted. This of course depends on what you really want. There are a few colors that I wanted and I kept changing my mind. I really like WR Blue and Silver. I personally think the Dray Gray looks great as well. So many great choices on these cars. I'm thankful it isn't the early 90's when everything was teal.

ask people how well the paint holds up, our how noticeable chips , dents and swirls show, silver looks like it'll keep the best with the least account of care, and will keep luster longer

Body color is a super-critical factor for me.

I really like the car, (so does my wife) but I'm waiting till Subaru offers the BRZ in an eye-popping color like a pearl yellow before I turn loose of my hard-earned cash.

What I would love to see is the ability to choose your own color on Subaru's website from a color wheel which can you customize, and then have Subaru build it and ship it to the dealer of your choice.

This may just be me, but every single time I have chosen my second choice and I see someone driving by me with my first choice, I say "damn... that looks good, maybe I should have waited." However, when I have chosen my first choice, I seldom think that.

I could have had a BRZ in DGM in my garage now, however, I went with my first choice of SWP. 2-3 more weeks!

Like the Lexus LFA? That one is FUN to build on their site! So many colors inside and out!

I didn't know they had it, but yes! Ford has it on their "design a Mustang" contest and it's pretty awesome. I'd spend days trying to get the best color, lol

Meh. Vinyl wrap can fix anything and looks better than paint anyway IMO, so it isn't a big deal for me. That said, Hot Lava, Firestorm, and Whiteout are my favorites.
