Do it! One less car in the Adelaide queue!

Seriously though. You have an out clause and should be able to get your deposit back. May as well hold onto the preorder right until the car actually arrives, saving money in the meantime. Then you can make the decision whether you want it or not then.

The dealer probably won't care. He'll have someone else lined up to buy it straight away.

The Evo / STI are great weapons for all conditions & drivers, the 86 atm is a great steering drivers car - a purists car you could say. The 86 pales in comparison for str8 line speed, but it makes up for that with the grin factor you get when cornering, until Toyota/Subaru release the GT4/TRD/STI version !

The 86 is a great car, even more so considering the price !

interesting comments. I want to put it out there that I am not one of those "need all the power" fat heads, at all. Ive spent pretty much 3 years perfecting my Supra's suspension and brakes package without spending a dime on power upgrades.

I did love the 86 when I took it for a test drive through the adelaide hills and not once did I think it felt underpowered but the wait is hurting my interest. On the flipside, I didnt like the Evo 10 much and apparently Subaru are releasing a completely new car for the 2013 STi so I may just take delivery of my 86 and see where it goes...

I still think they are the best looking new car under 100K currently available in Aus
