Waiting time

I ordered my GTS about a month ago, Mandurah Toyota were up front and told me to expect to wait between 10 and 12 months before I see it. At least I can keep changing my mind over the colour.

Check where you are in the queue of GTS there Toddo. The more your dealer has on order the longer your wait will be

Hey Toddo I also ordered from this dealer and would like to know what number in que you are?
I also want to know how you can change color due to the contract locking that color in unless the dealer gives you a car that some one has given up waiting for. If you were to change color this would change your number in que.

Holy crap!! 4.5 years! Even if it was a 2 year wait.. Kinda makes me want to put my name down on the list for another 86 just as a DD. >_>

I think 4 yrs is total bullshit and unrealistic..... The interest in the 86 is crazy atm.... If demand is so high, as it is Toyota will have to make changes to meet demand and make money... The idea of waiting more than 2 yrs for a car IMO is unrealistic.... Especially with Toyota!

I dont think anyones feeding bullshit sandwiches, i just think its all being estimated on todays situation...

I would think it would be stupid to doubt that there will not be a new version of the 86 within 18-24 months even if its just minor body and interior changes at the least... Regardless the excitement will slow sooner than 18 months I CAN ONLY GUESS and changes will be made to pump out more 86's to meet the demand as said before....

This is just my opinion and all guess work but to think the car is 4yrs back dated for orders is a bit to far fetched for me to accept regardless of if u order now or heck, 12 months from now lol..........

I am prepared to be surprised and get my 86 in January, but if it gets pushed out so be it. 4 years is not a realistic figure

Phone up TWA mate and they will tell you want number in the WA queue you are.

As of Friday the number of WA GTS orders was almost 150. At only 4 coming into WA a month that is just over a 3 year wait. I'm 57th in the queue and that's a 17 month wait!

Lets just hope the allocation situation changes

Everyone in WA have hope!

I just got unexpected news. My estimated delivery date has just been brought forward 3 months.

2 or 3 weeks ago I spoke to my dealer and it was Feb/mar delivery. He just called me today to say that it is now scheduled for production in November for December delivery. He gave me my stock number to track it with Toyota WA.

My dealer was really shocked I've gotten a Dec delivery date, so hopefully more of you will get some good news too.

Why do I get the suspicion they allocated those 1,440 cars -today-...

This is true. I spoke with hazel at TWA on Monday who confirmed that there has been a general increase in allocations to Australia and as of October/November 30 GTS will be coming into WA then from there on in around 35 a month. The mix of Gt to GTS is now to be 30% GT and & 70% GTS. That why all of our waits are coming back down again. Good news for WA and evryone else

The longer I wait the more time I have to think about getting another car (Evo TC-SST MR is calling my name) that's available now. Not good for Toyota. I'm gonna try to hold out til my Birthday next April.

If this is true someone at TMCA seriously needs to be fired. That's just moronic.
