Thats a shame to hear I ordered on the 7th of June at Big Rock. When I cancelled my order last month I was told it was still on track for delivery end of this year (although it was slipping). As I cancelled my order I really hope everyone got bumped up in the queue instead of replacing it with someone elses order.

Ok, I just spoke to a very nice and helpful lady at Toyota WA Distributor (they handle all orders from the WA Toyota Dealer network). While my dealer (Big Rock Toyota) has been helpful in providing information on my order, they can only see data for their dealership.

I have a orange GTS manual on order. Ordered June 18th at my dealer and Toyota WA have the order as secured on June 19th (good work by my dealer).

There are 57 outstanding orders for GTS's (both manual and auto) in WA either before or on the same secure date as mine (19th June). Unlucky for me, I'm also number 10 on the list at Big Rock Toyota for GTS's.

They will allocate GTS's by the secure date, but a full months allocation would not go to a single dealer.

Currently they are only able to secure and allocate 4 GTS's per month, so based on 57 orders in front of me, that is a 14 month wait from today (17 month wait in total)

If you switched your order to a GT in WA today you would also be waiting 12+ months based on current orders to fill. Of course they are trying to get more allocation of GTS's for WA, but nothing to speak about yet.

While the news is extremely disappointing for me as I had originally excepted to get the car this year, at least I now have the full picture and can decide what to do.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news
Just spoke to same lady and yes she was very helpful but still the bearer of bad news. There are 147 GTS on order as of today. If you were to order one today the wait would be 4 1/2 years!!!!! I know some dealers are refusing to sell the GTS now as there isn't much point. As for me, I'm out till June next year. Patience is a virtue I need to discover.

I wonder why the customers have to find the time and resources to speak to the distributor directly and dealers in WA are just sitting on their bums waiting for apple to drop from the tree perhaps?

4.5 yrs is just bloody ridiculous and it shows how much respect and care TMCA has for our market!

TMCA has no choice now. They only ordered 1500 86's till 2013. 750 GTS' to share over all over australia.

I'm not sure I believe that.... Surely stock flows can improve over that period of time....... That's just bonkers

She did say that they are trying to get a greater allocation which they are hopeful of but wasn't sure about the numbers or what the mix gt/gts would be. they are certainly pushing for a greater influx of GTS as they are the big problem.

You all better off ordering a brz as the current wait is around 13 months.

wow this just keeps getting worse. What date did you order deadcat?

I ordered mid June and asked my dealer just this week when it was likely to be delivered and he said feb/march (must be their fallback date if they dont know)

I am a pretty patient and laid back guy but that is hard news to take. Still love the car and I am prepared to wait but it just seems to keep getting further and further away.

1. Ordered - 3/4 month delivery
2. Follow up - end of year so approx 6 month wait
3. 2 month later follow up I was told Feb / maybe march
4. Now possibly June/July or longer

please make it stop..................

I ordered June 21st and asked for a delivery in feb. At the time that was reasonable. Knowing what has happened since I dont think it matters when you asked for a delivery, nore so how many people at your particular dealer are in front of you. The MT GTS is by far the most popular so you need to find out where you sit as I was told that TWA are allocating to oldest "cosies" (thats us customer orders) but one dealer will not necessarilly get month on month deliveries. There are 25 dealers in WA and they will be shared around. I am order 5 for a MT GTS at my dealer and am looking at June 2013. So for me the delay isn't that bad as I wasn't expecting mine til Feb anyway. For those that were after asap delivery and just happen to be at a dealer that has sold heaps of MT GTS prior then I think the wait is going to be a while. Fingers crossed that they can manage to get a great allocation as of the 100 cars coming into the country only 15 are coming to WA.
