Is it just me?
Looks like the ones getting worked up the most are the real "passionate" MT drivers. |

Drifting is a tallent based on skill. Just like racing. There is a winner and a loser jsut like in a race but you dont like it because of your "pride". Talking to you is like trying to talk to someone from Fox news. You don't care about the facts or what the other person is saying you just yell at the top your lungs with your fingers in your ears like a child. I don't drift on the streets I thought that was pretty obvious from my other posts but let me dumb it down for you so you can understand. I...DON'T...STREET...DRIFT!!! Is that clear unough "Dad"? Don't fuckin preach to me about how you take care of your car. This vehicle is a toy plain and simple. It's not that great on gas, I'm sure it's gonna suck balls in the snow and you realistically cant fit more two people in it. If you want to keep it in the plastic like the 40 Year Old Virgin that's fine but toys are ment to be played with and play we shall. Im finished with you pops, go back top telling kids to "Get Off Your Lawn!"

I drive a manual. Its my first in about 8 years. I learned in a stick with a 72 super beetle. Being that this is a sports car (mostly.) I was in the mind set that I want to be connected to the car when I drive it. (That is the point of a sports car right?) One of these days, I would like to test drive an AT FR-S to see how it feels and smooth the car feels. My next car after this is payed off and is no longer my DD, I will get an auto along with a full electric or hybrid car. Gas is going to only get worse and worse, but I plan to own my FR-S for a long time.

Since you claim you are so concerned with adding value to this thread (based on your posts in it, you certainly had me fooled) I suggest sending a pm my way if you find value in continuing this dicourse, though I don't.

I'll give you 15 minutes to review my posts so you can edit your post before I call you out for being inept. Whoops too late. Sorry, but if you ask for it then I have to give it to you...

My main point was from a performance stand point this automatic brings nothing to the table like some claim. It is not a rapid shifting pdk or dsg as some have compared it to. The gearing is not nearly as aggressive as the manual which has a significant impact on track times and worsens the lack luster acceleration of this car. It weights more, and it has significantly more drive train loss (10+ whp loss compared to the manual transmission. ) If these things don't matter to you and you prefer better gas mileage and easier bumper to bumper driving, then by all means go with the automatic (there are plenty available at the moment.)
