I'm gonna have to say Manual... I work for a car dealer & drive every single car, different makes & models. 95% of the cars are automatic, at the end of the work day there's nothing better than jumping in my manual tC. To have an accurate, performance & inexpensive auto paddle system for a car like the FR-S will not happen. This will only bring the price past our expectations if they start putting super car parts. To each is own... If you want auto, stick with whatever they throw at us. Want suttin more sporty feel learn to drive manual. In my opinion, any car whether auto or manual can be a sports car. Its all about how you use the mechanics to transform the vehicle into the sports car. You can take a Ford Fiesta & make it a rally car. They took a tC & turned it into a superior drift car.

Doesn't that tC drift car have an 800hp NASCAR V8 powering it? Hell, a Chevy Malibu would make a pretty good drift car with a set up like that.

My last 5 cars have been manual so I'll likely stick with that.

But if Toyota somehow offers a higher end auto tranny similar to that found in serious sports cars I will give it careful consideration and ample test drive time (because a lot of convincing would be needed for me to switch).

All I'm saying is that no matter what car u have auto or manual. You put time & money into it you can make it a sports car. Those were just examples... lol!

Imma take a Geo Metro throw 30K on it and suddenly it's a sports car. Yup. 600 Hp really big wheels, weight reduction etc. Omg I just made a Porsche!! O___O!

Hope we're not getting into what makes a sports car argument again. Let's stick to the Stick and Paddles please.

Aight Zaku! Ur kinda exaggerating the situation a tad bit... Lol! You can throw whatever you want but at the end of the day if it beats a a high performance vehicle, it ain't no porsche but a very fast sport car. Don't be suprised, I seen some crazy ish! Back to the subject at hand, Manual will always feel sportier & u feel more in control! You can have an auto trans if its ur liking. If ur gonna get an auto w paddle shifters make sure its up to ur standards.
