So how is cruising fuel economy with this little turbo? And 280whp is limit of injectors and clutch only, or is there something else limiting you guys?

So replacing the port injectors with larger ones only goes so far right? Is the DI the reason for the engine being reliable at 12.5:1? Replacing PI only may give you the headroom to max out the disco potato, but is it going to work reliably without upping the DI as well?

Your thoughts John?

good question,
its going to be pricy to replace DI injectors, i think 280 is going to be a great sweet spot of power to weight for this car,

We'll do just fine with larger Port injectors

Might have been asked before, sorry in advance if it has been asked already but are you guys making 280whp with the stock exhaust still on the car?

Perhaps Don or John can chime in on these things.
Let's hope there aren't any problems with too much heat in these early conversions?

The factory exhaust system is ot a restriction until well over 300hp. We have not reached the point as of yet where we have seen a gain with just the exhaust.

+1

But I would buy Dons exhaust. Sounds perfect, not loud - very very tasteful

I was getting around 35mpg while cruising. I was out driving like an idiot last night and I averaged around 50 miles on 5 gallons. I did alot of racing. Won a few, lost a few.

So looks like I need to upgrade to some drag radials now. The 255/18 Nitto 555's are not up to the task now!
