2013 USB Port vs 2017 USB Port

It looks like in 2017 the BRZ/86 ditched the aux port, but does anyone know if the 2017 usb port charges at a higher amperage than the 2013 version?

I believe 2013-2016 ubs port charges at .5amps. It's really slow.

Pics for reference.

Send a message via AIM to Racecomp Engineering
I see it. Don't have an answer but it's a good question.

Yes it is for the radio but some usb ports obviously charge faster than others. Just seeing if they upped the amperage at the refresh year.

I only have HDMI 2.0 on the BRZ, can’t do 120hz @ 4k with such a small engine.

Interesting question. Hopefully it's still just as useless, so more people have an excuse to swap it out for one of my excellent customizable switches :P

Luckily your switch is half the price of the OEM charger lol. I’m going to assume it’s still as useless as before, instead of charging at 2.1A like the (plug and play?) Tom’s “high performance” charger.
