This is relevant because reasons:
Needed more rear camber! Rear lower control arms from the first gen aren't legal on the new car due to a change in motion ratio, makes this mildly annoying but oh well. The only other options are a $650 set of upper control arms or a $130 set of offset upper arm bushings that are a huge PITA to install and adjust as well as being easy to have them slip... I'm giving a $25 option a try I got ~0.3 degrees more rear camber (one side gained like 0.5 degrees, so I just evened it out) using two MOOG K90473 camber bolts. They torque to about the same torque spec as the OEM bolts so I'm hoping they don't slip. I'll find out soon!![]() ![]() Alignment before: ![]() Alignment after:

Maybe I'm on the outskirts... but that doesn't seem like a good idea to me. The place that bolt is meant for is under very different stresses.

Did NNJR event 3 today, got the car working well finally (hey guess what, setting the shocks to where Shaftworks told me to set them works well) and Evan Schickel, 2018 DSP national champion, codrove to get ready for the NJ ProSolo
My fastest, good for 2nd in PAX, very close to Jeff Hurst (2013 STX national champion) in an STR ND: Evan's fastest scratch time: and a wild side by side!

I'm bummed that I didn't get to watch any of these at Charlotte. I watched some of the DS cars, but I found them to appear not relevant to my interests.

I've yet to drive one in DS trim, but in STR it's a TON of fun. Seems to be at least reasonably competitive with the ND, though definitely lacking. A tune will help, but I think it would need to gain 25whp to be super relevant in STR at the top. Definitely good enough to trophy with at nats though as it is, based on the performance of our STR Twin guys locally.

Totally anecdotal but launching next to a STR GR86 at practice starts in Charlotte, a STR 86 and a DSP 1st Gen get to the 120' mark at pretty much the same time. |

After NJ Pro... I still disagree with you. New twin can trophy in STR. Did I execute it well enough? No. Will it be a lot of the same folks running STR at nats that beat us in the twins? Yes... Just with more people so there are more trophies. So I think it will be easy for a twin to trophy in STR? Hell no. Do I think the ND should probably have its own class and put STR back to how it was before 2016 just with the new twins added? Hell yes.
