37k and yes for the last 3 years. if the engine is anything like my tob and clutch i trashed it

Time to rebuilt it AOL style; bigger, faster, stronger.

so i took most of the stuff apart and found a nice hole on the cam covers on one side. so i dropped the pan and its like sifting for gold. took off the oil pick up and found some strands of gasket maker in there.



my theory was avcs failed a retainer or cam then punched a hole and it sprayed all the oil out until the valve hit the piston and killed the engine. this makes sense because i lost power before a bang and the car hopped. also oil sprayed out of my passenger wheelwell. oh yeah they also resealed my heads because they were leaking 600 miles ago. calling the dealer and telling them they are fixing it. i have a blackstone for 800 miles ago and no wear metals

That’s crazy you had leaking heads with a 2017. The dealer better pay some of it (or all of it)

they denied the leak for 3 months saying whoever changed my oil spilled it on the pan. then i braked cleaned everything and took it back and it was covered and they said it could be a bunch of things so i tracer dyed it then they tried to say i had a tune so they werent going to cover it and i pointed out it literally had nothing to do with oil.

Anything else done to the exhaust setup? I'm thinking about getting the Spec-L once i get my Tomei UEL but i'm not sure how loud it'll be as far as cold starts and neighbors lol

It should be fine if you keep oem over pipe and front pipe.
I have the old OpenFlash UEL catless header, oem over pipe and front pipe. It's not too loud. My tune does have a reduced cold start idle so I can't speak for that particular portion.
Here is what she sounds like at full tilt, microphone is attached at the rear license plate.
