Favorite/Best non-performance "feeling" mods?
Hello, What are the best or your favorite mods that enhance the quality of the drive or "quality of life" for you? I don't exactly know how to categorize these as there are many parts for them.
I'm talking about parts like a short shifter, engine/trans mounts, bushings, clutch spring (removal), a new shift knob, etc... all those parts that improve the feel of the car and the drive but not necessarily performance improvements. What's the best? Your favorite? Best bang for the buck? |

I have a few superpro bushing in my car and it has really sharpened up the car. I would spend the money again in a heartbeat. Any thing that stiffens up the drivetrain is a plus!

Not performance:
Window tint Performance: Tyres (sticky 215/45 17) "Good" coilovers Decat Ecutec w/ racerom Some bushings What I wouldn't waste my money on: Body kits Short shifters Big rims Any other cosmetic thing that isn't window tint.

Any bushing that can be replaced is my favorite to upgrade, in any car ever.
Guilty pleasure mod would be window tint. I've never had the windows tinted on any car I've owned though |

It's illegal to tint anything at the driver's side and forward here, and I typically only own coupes, so I'm not willing to risk it. The police here are extremely thirsty, but are fair in practice. But 5mph over the speed limit and bet your ass you're getting pulled over

Shifter bushing, transmission oil, and Ultramaroon's clutch slave cylinder swap were all pretty awesome.
Oh, and the fumoto oil drain valve makes me smile every time I change the oil lol. Wishlist includes a bunch of other bushings. |

Arm rest was a good one for me. I also like my rokblokz and how much less dirt I get on the car now.
Tranny and diff oil have been good changes for me too. Catback, arguably doesn't do much in terms of performance but a good sounding one makes the car that much more enjoyable to drive and rev out.

Got a $200 gift card - so I did the safetyrestore elegant red front seatbelts. Cost $167 total and about 1.5hrs total to uninstall and install. Took one week to get them back. Did it now cause working from home, although I have other cars. It looks great with other red accents and it definitely added about 5hp to the butt dyno. Certainly a because race car mod but sometime cosmetic mods feel good.

M-tec clutch assist spring was a nice addition for me.
I like a little bit of weight in the pedal compared to how light it was. |

Lowering the clutch pedal hands down for me. Honestly helped more than taking out the assist spring for some reason. I have a cheap axle back that obviously doesn't add power but improves the sound. Also plugged up the sound tube. Would like to get a proper intake to get some good induction noise like my old 5th gen prelude had too.

I bought my car with a fair number of kms on it. Already had an Injen intake so I can't say much about what difference it made/makes.
The shifter doesn't feel as precise as the ones I've sat in at auto shows so I've got the upgrade support bushing to install. Also have the perrin trans mount reinforcement and whiteline trans bushing. I don't like the stock steering wheel (too small grip diameter) so I want to get something like the FT86speedfactory wheel (either leather or alcantara) and a good sounding exhaust (but not obnoxious) would be nice in the longer run as well. Also hate the pioneer headunit (2013 BRZ). How does it not have a scan function!? |
