I would suggest it be taken in for an alignment. The alignment shop will be able to tell what is needed to be replaced to make the wheel straight.

Then you can worry about the wheel bearings and other wheel parts being whacked out.

Forsure, Trying to get this job done asap. With the coronavirus goin on he's having trouble getting around town etc. Took apart everything with the alignment shop and found out the tie rod and more were bent too.
Any other areas I should take apart and check?

Well, about a year ago, I whacked mrs humfrz's Saturn hard, broadside against a curb (NO, I don't wanna talk about how it happened - ), and it needed a front strut, front spindle, front wheel bearing, front LCA, front wheel rim and a rear wheel bearing.

So, once the alignment is set so it will drive straight, a road test should show if anything is whacked out.

He shouldn't be trying to get around town anyway. That is the whole idea of the lockdowns.

Well, no. I drifted broadside on a snow covered street, into the curb. I was showing off to mrs humfrz how the nannies could pull a car out of sudden turn on slick roads. Well, she was NOT impressed -

If the guy is indeed a nurse and it isn't just a play for sympathy, he working so many hours he is so exhausted, he has obviously already substantially damaged his car at least once before, their combined mechanical skills can not figure out that a "bent" rear wheel means more than an alignment and there are no "tie rods" on the rear and they think they can bandage this all together then I think he should be looking for alternative transportation for the duration of this situation!

Well, I'll agree that the OP's buddy should take his car into a shop and rent a car until his is fixed.
