well im working on my own lighter rear brake setup
Subaru 2pots calipers - someone advertised 3lbs lighter per side but once you ad in adapters it looks like ill be lucky to get a pound per side Base model 11mm thin rotors - 2lbs lighter per side rotational since there will be a gap of 8mm between the pads ive made spacers to push out the brake pads. I got 3.2mm spacers on both sides. So there should only be a 1.6mm gap. This is all experimental until I install it next week but ive got all the pieces ready. If it doesn't work Ill just install the 2pots on the current stock rotors ![]()

SuperTom, the company called RacingBrake makes stockish sized two-piece rear rotors with an aluminum hat. They also put in an iron sleeve to allow functioning of the e-brake, so there isn't much weight loss. You might be able to do something with this, if your custom shims don't work out.
I like your attempts at lightening the rear brake setup, and I'm interested to see the results. Thanks. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk |
