When you say bouncy what exactly do you mean by that?
Have you hit a curb? Or where you hit by a car? Have you actually taken it to a mechanic? Or are you just guess cause you never seen the undercarriage? I'm just asking because maybe it's not the strut or springs.

Spent $1300 on FA500'S a few months ago. If I had it to do over again, now I would not "cheap out". I would get the ones I wanted, the KW3 coilovers or Bilsteins + springs.
Don't believe the inexpensive coilover hype... Good luck!

My 2 cents.
Sachs OEM shoch spring combo are crashy. Lowered springs are POVO. A good set of well dampered dampers with matching springs is the way to go. A street set up will be average on the track. A track set up will be crap on the street. Marketing trumps common sense and sound engineering principles, unfortunately People are generally idiots.

Since I've got shock/spring question, thought I would jump in here rather than start a new thread.
I'm not really interested in lowering, just having the ability to soften the ride a bit. That being said, keeping the OEM springs and finding some struts with adjustable dampening would at first seem to be the answer. There seems to be 2 issues with that. First, if I only replace struts/shocks I'm looking at the extra time and trouble of using a spring compression tool to swap them out. Secondly, I'm still using a set of springs with 40K on them, not really sure if springs start to wear out at 40k or not. Since a good set of complete adjustable coilovers don't appear to be much more expensive than a good set of just struts, it would seem complete coilover's are the logical way to go. Is this, as they say, a "no- brainer" or am I missing something? |

check out the video I posted above. most your coilovers are over dampened and crashy. even a koni at full soft is going to feel weird if youare looking for a "softer" ride, what you are wanting is adjustment on the decompression on the shock.
something more rally shock or a 2 way adjustable shock of which I am not positive on options out there, You could try a KYB or tokico OE replacement shock |
