Interesting note on the WiFi correlation. It should be noted that Bluetooth and WiFi both use the 2.4GHz range and can interfere with each other.

i found a tweak to disable BT to play music automatically when you turn on your car on a iphone.

note: iphone must be jailbroken

1. download the tweak Bluetooth service manager from cydia
2. run the app
3. uncheck A2DP

and viola! BT music wont play anymore.

BT hands free still works by the way

BTA works just fine for me with my iPhone 4. The only thing I can't do is access playlists. It will only play the current playlist I'm in and to switch I have to shut off the car and manually go to another playlist before reconnecting.

I installed the Pioneer 2400BT and the bluetooth integration with the iphone has been pretty solid. In case you were looking to change out head units.

I have no issues with my iPhone 4 (iOS 5.1.1) using BT audio and running Slacker radio. I have the standard head unit. I'm also typically on wifi when I start the car up.

Did you change the connection method for BT audio possibly? It can be set to connect from the vehicle or from the device. I would try switching that.

Couldn't you just disconnect (not delete) the BT audio device on the radio? Or does that disconnect the phone too?

BTA works fine on my Galaxy Nexus with Android 4.0(ICS)

My gripe is with the audio quality. It sucks.

Has anyone seen an issue with controlling the volume when playing bluetooth audio? In calls I can change volume as needed, but cannot control the volume once BTA starts playing. (Phone is a RAZR 4G, stock FR-S tuner)

That might be with your selection of music.

Galaxy Nexus and my BRZ BTA = awesome sounding music.

I have both an iPhone 4 and a Galaxy SII Skyrocket. iPhone has zero issues playing music. It starts playing as soon as I get the car started and I actually like that. No issues with displaying track names or volume.

My SII on the other hand has some minor problems. One being that the volume isn't adjustable sometimes. I found that if I disable the bluetooth and reenable it then this resolves the issue. I think I normally start the music and if I can't adjust the volume then just disconnect and reconnect even while it's still playing and boom it's fine then. My only other gripe is that it doesn't display the track name whether it's through the regular player or through Spotify. iPhone has no issues with either.

Neither of my phones are hacked in anyway. Both are current on OS (SII on ICS).

itunes tagging is why it displays the track. There's no android profile built into the OS/interface of the radio. That's due to the fragmentation of android.

I have an iPhone 4S and had the same problem. I accidentally hit the scan button. I re-pressed it and, viola, it worked. Hope this helps a bit.
