Have you found a hood that is lighter than stock? Everything I have seen (including carbon fiber) has been about the same or heavier.

I'm not sure what he's running, but MPH makes light CF parts.

I would imagine painting the dry carbon would lower the gap as well. I'm not a big fan of unpainted CF, particularly for a major portion of the bodywork and not as an accent although I know a lot of people like it.

Yes as others have said MPH hood -8lbs , MPH roof -10lbs, Siebon Dry Carbon Fenders ~8lbs for pair. So ~$4000 plus the installation $$ of the roof for -26lbs not great $$/Lb. but when you get near the end of weight reduction these are the final pieces

Yea would be easier for me to lose 26 lbs then to pay that much for it in parts, at least on a street car (and I know that's not what this is about).

Losing the 26 lbs would be hard. Keeping it off would be harder.

Here's the weight on the JDM AC Delete Pulley Assembly 2.7lbs. Almost the exact weight of the Evap core
