Um, the next size larger would be 245/35/18. And IIRC, that size is not available in the nitto neo gen.

No one uses 235/45/18 on their twin. Additionally, to have less of a stretch, you want wider tires for your wide wheels. Not taller tires. So, you will need coilovers to fit 18x9.5 wheels and non-stretched tires. 255/35/18 fit nicely on a 18x9.5. I have 18x9 wheels and a 245/35 is slightly stretched on them. I personally like a bit of stretch.

So, your tire is going to be close to the spring perch. Hopefully it clears. It probably will. Depends on the tires actual width. Anyway, you will have some poke. And to get rid of the poke you will need camber. To add camber, you will need room between the tire and spring. To get room, you will have to add coilovers. If you rub, a 3mm slip spacer can be added without changing anything else. You will only have clearance issues in the front, if you do. Meaning you would only need two 3mm spacers, in the off chance you rub. Good luck.

I have had several staggered setups. The closer tire widths are front and rear, the better the car drives. What offset are your front 18x8.5 wheels?

Ok. Now we are getting somewhere...
If you want a staggered setup. I would suggest 225/40 front and 245/35 rear. Get camber bolts for the front, you will have room to add camber. Or get 245/35 front and rear. I think you'll want to lower your car in the future. I'd suggest TRD springs for a 1" drop. (They work well with OEM shocks)
