Hey, a couple of questions from down the 401:

How do you like the PSS? I'm thinking of either them or the Conti ExtremeContact DW in the same size.

How do you like the steering feel with the +35 offset? I'm thinking of getting some 720Form GTF1s in 17x8 because they are cheap, light and available here through 1010, but they only come in +35 and I am worried about screwing up the steering feel. That is the best thing about the twins, IMANHO.

After my setup, every aspect of handling has either gotten better or stayed the same. Nothing worse.

The PSS are nice and sticky so you can fly around corners without losing grip. The pickup is also a little nicer too

The +35 hasn't really changed the steering at all from what I've found. Like I said since I changed out OEM it has only gotten better and more responsive

EDIT (7/2/14): Installed coilovers and dropped. The +35 still works fine.

I'm interested in getting this setup with stock suspension as you had it first but also thinking of getting 1in drop springs. How much are you lowered on the coilovers? What camber settings did u have at stock and lowered? Did you get lcas as well?

1.25" drop -- front and back

-2.0 camber in front with coilovers
* Don't know what the camber was with stock

Did not get LCAs

Now that I've had the rig dropped for a few months... still happy with the setup. There is still an occasional "clunk" or minor spring-wind noise... but it's not a big deal.

For my DD... it's fine.... hoping to do some HPDE at some point in the future... it will be interesting to see how this setup works then!

The only "downside" of the drop is I have to be REALLY careful around curbs, parking blocks, etc. Luckily all the minor scrapes and such are "down low" and can't be seen... but I'd hate to crack the front bumper cover higher-up through a freak contact with something concrete!!

Temperatures are on the rise in SW Washington... so finally swapped OEM out... snow tires will eventually go on OEM wheels.

Props to the Discount Tire in Lacey... they had me in and out in 30 minutes... and it might have been quicker, but once the rig was up on the hoist, most of the staff suddenly had something "to do" at that hoist. Cost: $0 -- what better way to start a Saturday?

Observations: With a bit of reduced weight (per wheel) and the stickier tires... acceleration (1st, 2nd) is a bit more fun... and the difference in turns is every evident (over OEM)... sticks even better in the hard, aggressive turns. Liking this setup a lot!

EDIT (7/2/14): Installed coilovers and dropped. The +35 still works fine.

WOW that looks good!

How many inches did you drop in the front & the back?

Approx. 1.3" drop.

And just switched to Conti ExtremeContact DWS06 shoes... much better for the cold temps and wet... we'll see if it snows...

Thumbs up! Your car looks great! I was planning to get a set of these with the mirror cut finish but before I could solidify the funds, the CAD tanked and now they are way out of my price range.

Thanks!

That sucks. Check autoanything.com. They might be able to lower the price for you.

I can't promise they will clear the PP brakes in particular but I've seen a set on a car with AP sprint kit and had plenty of room for something even larger. The spoke profile will facilitate most brake kits.
