Easiest/Cheapest way to get more power?
Hey guys, brand new owner of a FRS RS1.0 with 16,500 miles on it.
I'm looking for suggestions on the easiest engine mods that aren't exhaust (I enjoy the stock quad tip sound) to get a little more power without sacrificing reliability. I will most likely get some new beefier tires soon and then will be looking to get a small bump in power.

I looked for reviews of the OFT, but couldn't find too many. They say you can get 20hp right from the get go and smooth out the torque dip while stock, is that true or just a marketing gimmick? Love your car by the way, damn it looks good!

As Breadman said, you don't gain much. But it does help smooth out the engine. I haven't used OFT (as I already have an ECUtek tune), but it's cheap and reliable way to gain some power. Though I could say keep your stock exhaust and swap out the headers for aftermarket and a tune. Relatively cheap and you get good enough gains.

I might open the Pandora box, but the best value for money mod is a lightweight pulley kit. Toda Racing kit is known to offer the best gains, but even a cheap single crankshaft pulley will provide almost the same results.

You're looking to strengthen the low end and midrange. Gains up top are nice but header/tune will really aid the driveability and make it a better dd.

Cosworth stage 1.0 will give you 20hp with a flash, thermostat and drop in air filter. Not very cheap though but you will get race rom features that are nice plus the ability to use 91 or 93 octane gas.
