Drove out again tonight. Sounds very refined. Better than the rasp.

I would also be curious as to the repeatability of the dyno?

As someone posted in the thread that dyno pulls won't give you a static number every pull. Usually there will be a 1 +/- hp/tq fluctuation on pulls especially if the car was warmed up for one pull, and cool for the other.

I know it, I just wanted to point out that data was taken and for better or worse showed an insignificant decline in HP. Take it FWIW. :happy0180:

Brian, Let me get this right, you were sold and delivered a prototype unit??? Did AP not do long term tests and watch the ST and LT fuel trims during their R&D phase?

"First to market" is NOT always a good thing.

I figure with the K&N Air Filter and Aftermarket Exhaust, that 1 HP (if truly lost) is balanced out of sorts.

Let's call it version 3. I had no issues, had lots of horsepower, and lots of rumble deep throaty sound. I was extremely happy with the results. Humidity is what caused the issue. Don is taking care of me. So no worries. I don't consider this a 'bad thing' but something that happens when a new car comes out and there are cases where things can and cannot be reproduced.

Bottom line, I am concerned and I just wanted to ask how vendors are taking 'humidity' into account into their designs. I'm wondering if others with different systems could or may be affected.

Agreed.. love that sound.. although It wouldn't characterize it as a 'rasp'.

Also, doing the delete effectively reduces the intake size by an inch or so... if anything i'd re-route this pipe into the air filter box!!

Well you've got a 1" hose going into the intake, which is now closed up. Hasn't that reduced the intake area?

Unless there is no flow through the noise generator, and it's somehow just operated solely on vacuum.
