So, results are in.

The muffler removes 10kW power by itself with the same ignition timing, but used the safety margin before knock. Needed to remove 2 degrees of timing on 98 Octane and a smaller amount on e85 which dropped another 5-15kW depending. Upshot is the muffler drops 15-25 kW.

Based on a small turbo. 210 kW on 98 octane, 240kW on e85.

All numbers measured at the wheel on a Mainline dyno.

Thanks for the info, I did not expect it to make such a difference, I guess in a turbo setup you really want as little restriction as possible at all costs (for power).

Works Motorsports makes an axleback cutout that can be mixed and match with any exhaust that matches up with the factory axleback flange and flange location. It's cool to see these things becoming more available for our cars.

Yup vacuum. One option for NA motors and another for boosted motors.
