The fire damage didn't look that bad, no melting of any of the aluminum ears etc... My thoughts on the internals is they should be pretty much protected by the oil and coolant inside the motor at the time....

I happened to take the 2015 crank with me for their opinions as well, they sent me to a machine shop to have it checked....Unfortunately that one is too far gone, still need to break her the rest of the way apart to get the other one checked.

That reminds me though, I did inquire on the cost of a motor for the fun of it, complete engine, $23k. Long block; $16k....
