How does the sound compare? Did it add a lot of rasp?

Was drone reduced?

It’s much louder and “growly”. Definitely a more aggressive sound. I don’t think it’s very raspy at all.

Drone is worse because you are losing a cat. It’s not unbearable though. I actually drive without music a lot now and just listen to the car lol.

I will tell you though, it does sound a lot different in the cabin than it does outside the car. So don’t be fooled, you will be really happy once you hear it outside the car. Really makes the engine sing!

So I just got the rest of my cats taken out, and I still have the stock resonator. The rest is straight piped, but I’m still not getting any flames, even on the super loud bangs. Any idea as to why? Probably going to add another resonator anyway to bring the volume down, I’d just like to see some flames for shits and giggles.

you can try this, just look where the retard is. It might not work as you need fuel for pops and during shifts injectors shut off. but thier might just be enough residual fuel to get a couple of pops. It might make the off/on throttle a bit jerky if so reduce the number of cels with retard in the higher load/rpm ranges

will probably work on slower upshift but not on fast upshifting

I tried this.....gave me some horrible crank shaft CEL. I was scared shitless but I reflashed to a map I thankfully had without the pops and it's been fine since. Additionally the throttle response is so much better without the pops, it's just not worth it.

I very much doubt that if you changed the right tables that it would cause a crank shaft CEL. What code did it show you had? If you had adjusted all the right tables then I'm willing to bet the same CEL will show up again soon. When you flash the ecu it clears all codes so that would remove it for some time until it is triggered again.

I was making a few tweaks to my tune when I came across this mod. At first I thought this isn't my type of thing but I adjusted Base Timing B as in the first post and it's actually quite entertaining. lol. With my setup it's a pretty tame burble on decel. I dig it. Good work.

yes, works without problems. works best in manual mode tho. you can basically turn it off if youre in auto/sport mode.

This is my current setup with the custom tune. I've had it for about a year or so and it's been perfect for me, still getting 400 miles on a full tank and my setup is

Borla uel catless headers
Invidia OP
Invidia catless FP
Invidia N1

Video is dark but you can see the flames, if I down shift up to the 2500k range it will pop and backfire.

No, when I had the setup it was little baby pops and crackles, and I didn't like it that much, the one I currently have I feel is more louder pops, if I remember I think it's the tune someone did on this thread with a yellow series frs
