Well Id start with the UEL with stock everything else. That's what I did at first, felt I could handle more sound. UEL with stock will give you the most useful performance in the midrange. Then add the rest later when you get used to it or want more sound.

Yes , My brz Gruppes UEL Header/OP and stock FP,catback.
It's louder when cold start but almost same as stock exhaust when warmed up.

This, go with the Greddy, and then later a header if you want more noise (and power). Deep exotic tone, not too loud at all.

The thing you need to think about and research on the forum is how an exhaust will be affected by mods. An exhaust that sounds perfect behind a stock system, like Perrin IMO, can change dramatically with headers and front pipe. I just installed a CSGxMXP Touring86 catback, but I wouldn't have bought it if my plans didn't include headers, front pipe and tune. If you aren't satisfied with the info you find on the forum, you can also ask vendors some questions. I've personally found ft86speed factory and counterspacegarage to be very helpful and responsive. Also keep in mind that 90+% of sound clips do not successfully represent the actually sound and tone of any exhaust. And look for used stuff for a while after you've made a choice, exhausts typically last a long time and many people sell for something else. Lots of buyers remorse out there with exhausts.

Just to circle back, ended up going with a Gruppe S header + OP on the stock front pipe and catback. I'm really happy with the sound so far. It's more subtle than I thought it'd be, but it's just enough to make the car sound interesting. Happy with my decision.

Find a proper catback that's good quality and offers the level of dB you're seeking. Personally, I found the perfect tone once I got my TRD axelback.
