I'm not to worried about AC and power adders just yet. lol The car has plenty of power as is. Maybe this winter ill add long tube headers. For now, I just want to enjoy having my car back.
Which PCM are you using?

MRS Install is uploading. I have debated heavily on whether to post it or not. It makes me cringe watching it. Not mention I sound like I am 12. Just going to do it anyway.

Not many updates with the car. I have mostly been driving it and enjoying it whenever I can. No A/C is kind of rough, and still unsure about the valvetrain noise and vibrations, but runs pretty darn good.

Doing Research on gauges, and power adders lol.

Waiting to hear back from Colin on a possible update with the Canbus Device to help clear my CEL. Maybe/hopfully my gas gauge? Though I still don't think it is a can bus error. Just stops running at about 1/4 tank, and 1/4 is 10 gallon fill up. Which means 3 gallons is still left in the tank. Do believe the MPG calculation are a bit off. Car said I was getting 40mpg on my trip to KC and I made it to about 170 miles before I had to fill up.

Not sure how I forgot to mention it here, but the friday I was leaving for the Car show 3 hours away, I was rushing to get a bunch of stuff done and forgot to plug in my O2 sensors after taking the exhaust off. Didn't remember until half way through the trip. We stopped off and I found I had melted one of the plugs, so I needed a new O2 sensor. The other one had fallen down out of harms way, but where I couldn't get it while the engine was hot. So I just cruised the rest of the way without it. I was really wondering why it was smelling rich, found the reason haha. Still needing to replace the melted one, just had no motivation here lately. Mostly because its 90+ with a humidity level through the roof.

Looking at AIM MXS Strada

I actually have a group buy going on the Aim dashes right now if you want to hop in?

Thanks for the video Dustin!

Sorry I've been scrambling on other projects that distract from the fun BRZ/FR-S stuff

Waiting for some more Micro Gateway modules (the one used in the swap) to come in from production and then we can exchange your module to remove the CEL. Worked with Rick to verify we turned it off but it seems that my documentation on the CEL's trigger is wrong for the E40 set. So at the moment I can turn it off but possibly not on when it needs to be. When Rick is doing better we can figure it out

Mind if we share the video?
@wooly35, where was your PCM sourced from? I'm beginning to find that GMPP base LS3 PCM's all use the E40 message set but uprated engine packages (LS376 etc) use the E38. Connect the spare Fast-On terminal to location 8 to tell the device to use the E40 message set. If you have lost vehicle speed then there is an error in the wiring somewhere disrupting the CAN bus.

The PCM is for my ls3 376/480 crate motor I ordered from GM. I don't have it wired up to a key on source right now. Ill get power to it and see if the speedometer stops working. I'm just not crazy about opening up my dash again to get to the PCM. I like driving the car to much to work on it. ha ha ha

Testing out an air box around the filter. Final product will be built with either ABS Sheet, or aluminum. Leaning towards ABS to help with any heat soak issues. Also very easy to work with. With the box/scoop in place Air temps are generally the same as outside temps or a few degrees less. I will be testing the temps without the airbox and with the scoop today on the way to the bank. Testing without both on my way back to work. Will be interesting to see.

With the Airbox and Scoop. Intake temps were within a degree of outside temps. Idling temps were about 20-30 degree over ambient.

With airbox removed scoop still in place, intake temps were about 20 degree higher than ambient. Idling temps were outrageous at 150-170 depending on how long the car sits.

Scoop removed temps jumped to about 30 over ambient while moving.

Air Box is a definite must in this case.

Forgot I followed another V8 swap FRS on facebook. Today they posted about traction control and ABS all of a sudden working again. Trying to figure out of the lights just turned off as it has canbus system back up and running, or if they actually are working again. I am assuming they just took the fact the lights are off and the traction light flashes at them that it works again, but doesn't actually control anything.
