I am running this pan. I am using the CX racing mounts with the subframe pieces removed. It does not have any more clearance from touching the subframe but it does have a lot more clearance on the sides versus the gto pan. The big issue with this pan is where the remote mount oil filter or spin on attachment goes. I had to push the engine back a lot to get the spin on filter to work.

In your opinion would the remote filter mount workout better room wise? I just looked up your past post's and found your pictures on this thread it looks like the remote filter may work out difficult to tell from the pics though.

Well I took the time to check some of the plugs yesterday. (Can't get to a few of them without taking the header off.)

Found even with a ton of wrap, still sort of melting plug wires -_-

Good news is the plugs I could get out looked pretty much all the same:

Only one different was the passenger side front plug. Threads were covered in water? Which is weird because it's been to temp a few times since the last rain.

Other than that, I think my oil pressure gauge is faulty. I paid real close attention to it yesterday and while cruising I noticed it fluctuate 10 degrees rapidly. So Going to look at buying a new sensor and sending the gauge in to be checked/serviced.

Car was dropped off this morning to check on having A/C Lines made. They didn't seem too enthusiastic about the job. I should have just spent the time/money on getting Aeroquip A/C Lines/Fittings and finding the fittings for the condenser and firewall.

Found this compressor fitting:

This should adapt the GM compressor to the aeroquip fittings. Now I just need the two for the condenser and two for firewall.

I've spent a bit of time looking and can't seem to find these. Did your AC shop seem to think they had them??

I won't know until I go back to pick it up. They didn't really want to talk about it. They are the first company I have worked with that wasn't interested in the car at all. They just wanted to get it over with.

I don't think the fittings are anything special. It just depends on if we need the #6, #8, or #10 lines. I assume the hard line is #6 and that is the one I am having a hard time finding.

Edit: Found a company that makes custom A/C fittings for hondas. Seeing if any of their products may work for us.

Edit #2: They sell Weld on fitting... Would work perfect for our need.

That's the only real option I've come up with so far. Use the existing fittings and weld on the correct ends. I'll need hard 90's at the fire wall if this is ever going to work for me though.

Possibly might be able to bend the factory line enough to clear and weld the fitting on after the bend.

Got the word back from the A/C Shop. $750+... I'll just do it myself at that price point...

So far just a very rudimentary parts list. I haven't confirmed length of hose needed or anything else. Add in the weld in fittings at $8.50 a piece. Need 6 of them if I am counting correctly. Four #6, One #8, and One #10. Not actually sure the Sanden fitting will work, but it gets a price estimate.

I didn't want to find out if the remote mount would work because I already spent enough on this oil pan. I just moved the engine back, modified the valve cover, and the spin on filter adapter worked. Plus the engine is right at the firewall so better weight distribution.

@kurty85 Definitely like what you did. Better weight distribution is always good. How much room is in front of your crank pulley? I planned on going remote oil filter and run a oil cooler that's why I asked. Hopefully I don't get my set-up in place look at the placement, and decide to make my own mounts or rework what I already bought. I kinda wish I never saw what you did with your mounting position. Lol

Yikes,,, that Aeroquip stuff gets expensive in a hurry. I may end up doing crimped stuff with a cheap Ebay crimper.

They can also custom make they pretty reasonably

What about buying LS AC lines, cutting and welding the ends to the stock lines, extending the OEM lines as needed?

Not sure. Taking it to my friends shop to see what they say. He told me to bring it in and they should be able to work it out.

Not many updates with the car. I have mostly been driving it and enjoying it whenever I can. No A/C is kind of rough, and still unsure about the valvetrain noise and vibrations, but runs pretty darn good.

Doing Research on gauges, and power adders lol.

Waiting to hear back from Colin on a possible update with the Canbus Device to help clear my CEL. Maybe/hopfully my gas gauge? Though I still don't think it is a can bus error. Just stops running at about 1/4 tank, and 1/4 is 10 gallon fill up. Which means 3 gallons is still left in the tank. Do believe the MPG calculation are a bit off. Car said I was getting 40mpg on my trip to KC and I made it to about 170 miles before I had to fill up.

Not sure how I forgot to mention it here, but the friday I was leaving for the Car show 3 hours away, I was rushing to get a bunch of stuff done and forgot to plug in my O2 sensors after taking the exhaust off. Didn't remember until half way through the trip. We stopped off and I found I had melted one of the plugs, so I needed a new O2 sensor. The other one had fallen down out of harms way, but where I couldn't get it while the engine was hot. So I just cruised the rest of the way without it. I was really wondering why it was smelling rich, found the reason haha. Still needing to replace the melted one, just had no motivation here lately. Mostly because its 90+ with a humidity level through the roof.

Looking at AIM MXS Strada

That's good news that you are just enjoying the car now. Ive got a few more issues to resolve before I consider mine finished, but I cant wait to drive this car everytime I come home from work. Its so much fun.

Still trying to figure out the can bus module. Everything is hooked up, but nothing works on the dash. I'm sure its something I did and need to look over it again.

I'm not to worried about AC and power adders just yet. lol The car has plenty of power as is. Maybe this winter ill add long tube headers. For now, I just want to enjoy having my car back.
