Just an FYI the first number followed buy the W is the base weight of the oil. The second number refers to the viscosity enhancers effect. Unfortunately each manufacturer has leeway on the temperatures the enhancers open up and the lubricity they can provide. To further complicate things, the additives each manufactures uses changes the behavior of the oils. Hence the described differences in performances.

The motul multi-af is in my price range as well, but for the price difference i can get an extra drain and fill out of the valvoline. Thoughts?
usually not smart to base tranny oil for cost reasons in japanese cars.

especially when you only change the stuff so rarely.

get the motul.
