Rust in clutch pedal area

I wouldn't worry about it, the dealer won't fix or replace anything. I see it under the dash all the time.

But be warned, WD40 is a "penetrating oil and water-displacing spray" its not actually meant as a lube. So your squeaking problem might fix itself for a little while but it'll come back.

Spray with WD40 to clean off the rust, and then find some actual lube and apply to moving parts.

If Bimmer owners see this kind of rust they'll park it in front of the dealer and burn it down.
