Yeah, idle. Run the revs up.

On phone I am. Therefore, if mistakes I make, Frank Oz blame you should.

Should be doable..... The cover over the front of the alternator doesn't let me
see the full mounting configuration... We may have to have one to match everything
up. But, again, where it's located shouldn't make it hard to retrofit a high amp solution.
I would either need a vehicle or an alternator.

Is there anyone in the Midwest that would be willing to volunteer for measurement and/or test fitting?

I'd gladly be the test mule for this one if this weren't my DD and only vehicle.

If there are spare alternators laying around, this would be a huge benefit to the community. I'm sure we could cover any round-trip shipping costs incurred.

DC Power are about the only high amp alternators I've seen that don't sacrifice low rpm (idle) amperage. All the others usually output lower idle amps than stock alts, so you only see the higher "rated" output at higher rpms

I haven't seen any increased amperage alternators for the FR-S/BRZ/GT86.

Does anyone have a link to the stock max alternator output?

Some considerations:

Smaller diameter pulley on the alternator
Dual alternator installation
Replace with higher output ALT.
Any other suggestions?
Can you please tell me your sound system setup if that is indeed the source of massive power draw? Trying to figure some audio stuff out as well.

I was running close to 3300watts. I used Singer but the alternator itself didn't seem to put out that much more power. I think a better custom solution would have been better. Maybe a larger truck alternator, but even with a custom case with mounts that will adapt to the frs motor would still require a new longer accessory drive belt.

So, you can get a little extra power from an upgraded alternator, but don't depend on it, even though you will need it. Combine it with larger/multiple batteries that are for audio and definitely run capacitors.

I don't have any experience with these cars, but I used to run 4 12's on 3,000 watts in an 01 Tahoe and later 4 12's on 10,000 watts, one 250a alternator is not enough. I had 2 320a alternators, everything wired with 1/0 ofc wiring, and a couple of these batteries NorthStar SMS-AGM480's. Buuuuuut, with all that said, 3,300 watts seems like way too much for how small this car is. I was looking at max like 800 watts to go in my wife's 86.
