I have the same issue I was thinking of removing the the knee pad or getting one of the soft knee pads. those appear thinner than the factory piece to allow more clearance and let me get my leg out of the way of the wheel or at leat inspire more confidence that it wont be in the way

Seats aren't going to get much lower, there's about 2" of space between the seat bottom and the floor. Even if you dropped the seat to the absolute floor, it wouldn't help you. The problem is the leg length. You have to do what tall people have always done in smaller cars: push the seats back to the max, and adjust the angle of the seatback until it's relatively comfortable. Also, tilt the steering wheel up and out so that it doesn't hit your knees. Good luck!

FWIW, I'm 6'3". I don't have the seat all the way back because the steering wheel doesn't telescope enough for me to reach properly. At least in my case it's not nearly as easy as you make it sound. There are multiple variables at play here, and changing one usually changes others.

At 6'2" with a lot of legs, I would pay so much money for Toyota to give me another 1" of telescope.

Something odd about the car is it feels like you are sitting high up, but that really isn't the case. I think because the beltline is so low it just feels that way. The facts that I can open the door and casually touch the ground without needing to lean all that much tells you enough about how low you really are. Of course I am on stock suspension height and could be lower.

Shameless plug, we ran into this problem with our BRZ we're building for a tall customer. We just got our first prototypes back of some low-profile seat mounts that might be helpful.
