You need to bring the steering wheel closer, no other way around it. I had a 2001 Accord with the most hateful ergonomics. Momo steering wheel with 90mm dish solved my problem.

Uncomfortable seating position will be in the back of your mind every time you drive, not worth putting up with it.

I have the same problem. 6'6 and just fit. No space for a helmet. Might have to take the time at some point and remove the seat to see what can be done.

Not sure how much just being lower would help, would that just point your thigh at a lower angle?

Stock seats already go basically against where the floor rises in the rear iirc. I may be wrong though.

Is there any way to get a spacer for the stock wheel? I'd like to retain the airbag.

You never mentioned if you moved the steering wheel, did you put it at the highest position and pulled it closer to your chest (Some people don't know the steering wheel is telescopic)

Steering wheel is as high and as far back as it goes.

That's what I meant, sorry. It's as close to me as possible.

Is it possible to remove the seats height adjustment mechanism? That should give you another inch.

They went radio silent on the product and I started on trying to find my own solution.

Springs stretched and the plastic ties that bind them cut did help, not enough to clear a helmet however.

This is what I ended up doing, and it has been fantastic. Gf needs a booster seat to drive the car comfortably now (she's averageish height 5'7" or so). Shorter people that sit in the car can barely see over the wheel. The seat pan is basically sitting on the floor and thanks to the scooped design of the base just about all the headroom that can be gained is.

Is your issue slouching for headroom that's causing knees into the wheel?

Hey Got a question on spring stretch and plastic bind. What do you mean by that. I am 6'2 and I think lower half inch will clear me of the helmet I have

Look under the seat

You'll see

Someone listed a base pic in one of the threads.

I know this is a pretty old thread but did anyone get a clear answer for the riddle of the tall man for the seats?
