A problem no one has had (probably)

Under my pedals, the floor is getting mushed in under the matt. I don't have teeny girls feet so I put a big load down there. I took up the mat this morning and its seems like the padding underneath is whats getting mushed in.

How do I fix this? I was thinking fold half a towel up and stick it under the mat relieving the pressure on the padding.

As in, the carpet and padding is breaking down where your heel rests? If so, that'll happen eventually on every vehicle you drive, if you drive them long enough. I put 3D Maxpider floor mats in mine, so at least it'll prevent wear on the carpet.

Before ol @Cole starts in on you ......., I have a couple of questions.

Is it getting mashed where the clutch pedal touches the floor board or where your heel rests when you are working the pedals.. ??

What's getting mashed, the floor mat (that you can remove) or the floorboard matting ..??

*giggles*

Honestly? Before you do anything, roll back the carper and see what's going on under there first.
