I don't even know what it sounded like. I put a TRD intake on in the first 100 km's so I was still braking it in. hahaha

I can't chime in much since I didn't delete my sound tube until recently, so it was with my Tomei 60S exhaust on the car. It definitely quieted down the cabin a bit - the bit of drone that my exhaust has under load at low RPMs got quieter which I liked.

I think I miss my WOT being a bit louder, but I can always roll down the windows for that, and this way probably makes the ride more enjoyable for the passenger being that the sound tube outlet is right below them.

I was pretty happy to get that big mess of tubing out of the car - the engine bay looks much cleaner now, but I feel like I would really miss it if I were still running the stock exhaust. I think the sound good feedback, and makes the car more engaging and fun to drive when you can hear the engine working, which would probably be pretty quiet with the stock catback, and a sound tube delete on top of that.

I did a cold air intake, header, exhaust, pulleys, and flywheel. No CEL. No problems. Sound tube is infinitely unimportant. Extra delete it.

If you are skinny enough you can reach into the engine bay and disconnect the tube where it pushes into the firewall.

Remove the grey plastic tube from the pipe by opening the clip.

Pull out the yellow foam and remove the black foam strips, and then use a drill to remove the cross member inside.

Put it all back together again.

Noise at idle and standard driving is the same but at WOT it howls. Sounds less fake to me also.

I just installed the Perrin intake tube, and completely removed the sound tube. I love it, so much quieter inside the car now

I am running 100% stock intake and exhaust, and did the "free" delete (power port plug). Do NOT miss the noise at all- can still hear the engine just fine, cabin is nice and quiet until the tach needle starts heading north of 5K. Perfect.

It really doesn't do much of anything, even when you're completely stock. Pull it out, throw it away, and plug the tubing.

I love that I can have a race car sound track inside and not draw any attention outside!
