So when the oil is in the pan where does it go to next?

I should have ponied up the dough and bought the titanium wrap because working with Fiberglass SUCKS.
Lol i got the titanium wrap on the frs and on the downpipe for my gsr turbo cause it sits right in front of the radiator. Seems to work good coolant runs at 210 on the civic tho. Doesnt deviate much

Do you have a link to what you purchased. Thinking of doing the same with my UEL.

DEI, 2" wide by 50' long, black. Used the whole roll. I also over paid for stainless steel ties from DEI when I could have bought the same stainless steel ties from Amazon for 1/10th the price but I wanted to complete the project that day as I had a race weekend coming up.

I never measured underhood temps but my feet never got hot this last weekend even during a 1 hour enduro and I was able to run more ignition timing without my oil temp exceeding target ranges. The only time my oil got up to 260 was when I sat in the draft of other cars for laps in a row.

So far I'm pleased. Should have done it sooner. If I got an aftermarket header on my FRS I'd probably wrap it since non of them are coming with heat shields and the under-trays under our cars will keep water off the header wrap so there's little to no worry about rust.

Stupid question: will it help any to wrap cat pipe and exhaust itself with the tape? Or that would be just a waste?
My headers and overpipe are getting ceramic coating.
TIA!

The oil in the pan gets picked up by the sump tube and gets spread over bearings, cams lobes etc and then returns back to the pan.

"Assuming you're already heat wrapped & ceramic coated"
The solution to you guys is really simple, either get an oil cooler "headache solved" OR weld a plate with some heat reflective tape pointed to the headers that way radiating heat doesn't transfer as much to the pan and the pan can get cooled naturally with airflow, any tapes or masking you put on the pan (with the exception of fins) will make the heat hold in more "think of it as a sweater to your pan since you want to release the heat not store it".
