Tein Flex Z Problems

How off was your caster after you installed the coilovers? I'm not sure why my passenger side changed ever-so-slightly.

We don't really have "locals" in Tucson, and the owners I do know don't have the time to do this. Like I said, this is a time and money issue, and I shouldn't have to be the one doing the testing for another company who can't ship out non-defective products.

The front caster had a variance of about 0.5 to 0.7 degrees after installation of the Tein coilovers.

The caster has quite a bit of leeway for factory specs. What were the toe specs again after the alignment with the coilovers?

It might not be the bolt, but the negative camber you are gaining from lowering the car which exaggerates the tendency to drift away from oncoming traffic in the absence of appropriate castor adjustment?

I had the tech set toe at 0.03 deg on both sides I believe.

So if everything was relatively within spec, I can't see why the car would crab to the right.

Yeah. We tried many different setups and nothing worked. I just don't understand why it can't be the coilovers' problems.

New Hunter Hawkeye alignment racks have a computerized program w/ instructions on how to adjust alignment on virtually every car made. In the case of my BRZ, when I used the rack there was "no instructions" on how to adjust caster.

Some guys aren't good with communication. OP's alignment guy may be one of them.

No need to be a "race professional", whatever that's supposed to be. Just need to be a "suspension professional", a pretty important quality to have if your job happens to involve working on suspension...

Shouldn't "have to" but they obnoxiously don't want to try to fix it. So it looks like you're gonna have to figure out out with your own testing to prove it. How much time have you spent getting 4 alignments and going to 6 different shops?

Not saying it can't be the coilovers themselves, but I just can't figure out how it could be if all alignment specs are within factory allowance.

Well I think the easiest solution would be for you to just install some camber/caster plates (i know you already have camber plates) and adjust to factory spec and be done with it.

There only thing off is the caster... Are the top plates perfect mirrors? Can be checked with everything off the car easily. I suppose something could be off at the knuckle mount, but again... Compare of the car easily.

There's something being missed here.
