I don't understand why this situation is bothering some people......

Ever since the mid 1950s, idle fluctuations have been happening in automobiles when the A/C compressor engages/disengages.

So, it seems more noticeable in our cars, since they have relatively small displacement, low torque and light flywheel.

I reckon, back in the day, we were preoccupied with where to find more ice .....

Every single car I ever had did this with the A/C on. The smaller the displacement the more it stands out. It could be that it happens with the heater on since they don't think of the drying feature of the compressor and that baffles people?

Anyone else have this problem
Their was several ecu updates for early model cars related to idle stability especially with A\C cycling

2103 manual latest ecu calid is likely to be ZA1JB01C, you car may have come with A01C or B00C

as other guy said aftermarket intakes can upset maf calobration and cause issues.

The frustrating part is when you own a brand new 2016 with less than 5000kms on it, none of my accessories are turned on, and the only mod I have is a cat back and it feels like it's going to stall. On top of that i look like a **** because everyone thinks im sitting at a red light revving my engine. Not trying to keep this thread going, I'm just showing support to those who are being considered "baffled".

Hah
Revisit on this post

Whom ever said it was 100% correct. If you have your heat/ac/defogger blabla on, this surging will happen. If nothings on, no surging. I will sign off on this and call it done and not worry about it
