Pics of it rebuilt?

As for the OP....

I'm a stickler for used and abused anything. It's not worth it to my own piece of mind. However if it's not going to be your only car and you're cool with the way the car looks when it's fixed...why not?

I'm sorry I don't have pics for you guys, but the damage to my like-new '14 Limited after I rear-ended a tall heavy pick-up truck was sort of in between the blue BRZ and the black one. It looked a real mess, but given the safety crumple zones in the body and the invincible frame, it drove perfectly, and after $7500 of work by the best body shop in town, all OEM parts and perfect paint, my baby is back in my garage and there is absolutely nothing to remind me of the wreck.

So I would say, if the dollars add up for you, screw the note on the title and go for it.

it took me about 2 1/2 days. The fenders and hood crumble VERY easy, so it usually looks bad at first. in the photo i accidentally burnt through the paint and the bumper needed a slight readjustment, i would have liked to show a better pic to keep OP in good spirits but i dont have anything in the right size

Since your profile lists your location as: USA, not sure anyone can provide you with specific information. My first trip would be to the local MVA or DMV and see how they handle a salvage title and what's necessary to get a new title and tags.

Do you know anyone that owns a body shop? If you do, will the seller let you take the car there for an evaluation as to its straightness after the repair?

$13.5k is too much for a rebuilt title car. It's not worth it. If you look around, you could find a clean title car for $16k. Now, if it was $8-9k, then I'd start thinking about it.

I agree with this statement.
