Only modification is Valenti tail-lights.
Are you running 93 fuel, if you running less than 93 like 91 or 89 it probably engine detenoation or knock

While not commenting on the original poster's situation, I'm in Illinois exclusively running 93 octane Shell V-Power NiTRO+ Premium and the rattle is present for me at all times right off of idle.

I agree with load on engine at low RPM.

I seat belt clip on the driver seat makes a rattle when I use it. Drives me nuts! So I don't buckle up and the noise is gone. the seat belt chime only bugs me for the first 30secs or so and then it stops.

As the cops say
Click it or Tic... run!

I know this is a thread necro, but it's still 2016 so I consider the corpse to be at least... partly fresh.

If anyone finds this from Google (like I did) - please wear your freakin seatbelts. I had the same rattle and squeak coming from my seat belt clip and it drove. me. mad.

A bit of lubricant sprayed onto the bolt where it is attached fixed that right up. Just sayin.

I somtimes hear rattling coming from the rear when driving in rough roads. What could it be? My trunk space is empty and nothingg seemed to be loose in the spare tire compartment

I've learned that rattles in Subaru's are just a "feature"

Seriously though, could be something loose in the rear deck. I've had something metallic sliding around since I got the car. Never made the time to take it all apart to search for it!

I also once had a rattling from my interior and later on noticed it was coming from my gearbox under acceleration. might just be the reverse lockout making the noise
