In truth it comes to this: Most people are accustomed to having a built racecar because racecar and now that they get a clear canvas, so to speak, they learn how 'handy' and 'ingenious' they really are with a vehicle.

For example: "This car is a slow @ ss mofo."

why not e85 it?
why not engine swap?
why not RESEARCH IT FKN FIRST?!!!

why are you comparing? even if its the same car, its the diferreent owner that distinguishes the car even when same model.

Interestingly, a while ago I read an opinion that it is the other way around. That Japenese carmakers are so well established on the (US) market that they don' care so much anymore, while Korean carmakers, being relatively new, work hard and invest a lot in quality to get comparable regard. In a way, supposedly the Koreans are becoming the new Japanese, while the Japanese are, well, turning American a bit.

I have both read and seen the changes in person. Korea is the up and comer and in order to compete they have to be that much better.

My opinion on the subject of Kor vs Jap is a bit like this, if you were to buy a sound system and the choice for your budget was a Bose sound system or a higher spec (on paper) LG system which one would you buy if both cost around the same?

Personally I'd go for the Bose not because LG isn't a good product but because with Bose you know it will do justice to your music collection and life is way too short to listen to uneven sound waves.

I have to say and I'm not being racist here, I just can't stand Chinese or Korean products.
