Of course if it is somebody else hits you then whatever you had is covered.
Oops. Didn't notice you had quoted Fumanchu. Sorry. Then, likewise, of course, you're correct. Never mind...

Meh mine may say that too but really it all comes down to the insurance agent and evaluator, the insurance guy did love the car so maybe that helped?

Coincidentally I got my claim letter from the insurance and it states I'm 0% responsible,I'm confused but I'll take it.

So my car is being repaired now. Do you guys think it's worth it for me to go after a diminoshed value claim? Or is my damage not great enough? Also do I file the diminished value claim now or when I get my car back after being repaired?

Guys I recently got involved in a car accident (The other driver is AT FAULT not me) Initially my Insurance guy said they will total the car but then call me couple days later they will repair it.

As far as after market IF YOU ARE NOT AT FAULT they will repair/replace EVERYTHING you have on that car before the accident. They will pay for my Suntek clear film on my fender and they will re apply OPTI COAT on the entire CAR again.

They have to fix your car to what it was before the accident if they give you a hard time just say the magic word. "I'm calling my lawyer" I said that ONE TIME and they told me give them the invoice hahahaha

Always worth the shot for diminished value. Doesn't cost you anything to try and who knows they may just pay up.

Did you buy your car brand new? Never buy a brand new car. Buy a Newesd car. Its cheaper , its depreciation is gone and when it gets wrecked, you're not out so much money. Any bang to a car is going to go against it when you sell it. Only way to keep it under the radar is not claim it and get the work done outa your pocket

99% of the time adjusters don't care if you have an attorney or not for property damage. We go by what policy says and what state laws are applicable.

Ok guys so geico is offering me $1,500 for diminished value. Is this fair or should I try negotiating for more? It sounds pretty fair to me considering my car wasn't extremely damaged. All the repairs costed roughly $5000. I have 2013 scion frs 10 series that had a clean car fax til this accident. So I just need some opinions if $1,500 is fair to give me for my diminished value. Should I go ahead and accept the offer? Thanks guys.
