Overpipe gasket exhaust leak

Right now I have Grimmspeed header gaskets, this "Subaru OEM 2.5" gasket from speedfactory between headers and overpipe, and a thicker gasket the rest of the way back. I took it to an exhaust shop, and they said I don't have any leaks.

that does not sound like a leak.

sounds like your overpipe or some other part of exhaust is hitting on chassis or front sway bar, skid plate etc.

Might have to get the car back on a lift and check it out. I swear I made sure nothing was touching the past 2-3 times the car was up.

Make sure the overpipe isn't touching the engine.

+1 overpipe hitting chassiss or front sway bar mount under load is very common

sometimes you need to drill a new mounting hole on front pipe support bracket to lift front pipe to stop overpipe hitting.

grab a new gasket and throw some high temp rtv on both sides and be done with it forever. Did this to all my exhaust gaskets from downpipe back on my S15 when I was in Japan.

Did you just follow the instructions? (I believe it says to hand tighten after applying then let it set before torqued fully) Or did you apply on both sides of the gasket then stick it on and torque to spec?

follow the instructions, if you don't let it cure, all the rtv will squeeze out when you torque it. I put rtv on both sides of the gasket. Did that plus put some more around the gasket/pipe after I installed the gaskets.
