@DeliciousTuning - Any feedback regarding why a 7.5psi tune with boost cut would see 20psi?
Boost cut is an available feature within EcuTek, that is true. That post is in our general tuning thread, and should probably be updated to be more clear. As our typical Flash & Go tunes sit, there is physically not enough room in Custom Mapping to set up a boost cut. There is such little room available, in fact, that for turbo kits there isn't even room to add in our normal custom traction control mapping. We've asked for more room, and from what we've gotten back there simply isn't any available.

If there were, you're correct in that it would be very simple to set up and likely only take a table or two. With that said, we recommend that anyone wanting to do a boost cut simply setup something along the lines of an AEM Failsafe. I believe this was mentioned above as well, but a vac line or reference line popping off will cause these issues. OP's car was not overboosting on the last logs that I received, which would suggest that this is exactly what happened.

Sincerely,

Zach

Appreciate the clarification. Definitely something that should be a little more clarified on the flash and go tunes I think. I've seen others with flash & go from you guys assuming they had boost cut in their tunes, which is why I commented regarding it.

Something like a wideband failsafe is definitely a lot more reliable in the long-run.

@DeliciousTuning How would an AEM Failsafe be incorporated to add the boost cut feature in case of an overboost situation with your Flash and Go tunes?

It would operate independently from the tune. From AEM's website:

"The gauge’s failsafe strategy is completely user definable, from something as simple as making the gauge flash to using the ground output to trigger a check engine light, to cut boost, retard timing, or even switch to a safety map using a standalone engine management system."

Sincerely,

Zach

Same shit happened to me bro. I was on a 8 psi map when I overboosted and blew my block last December. I was also on the Delicious tune and was still on it up until I spun a rod bearing in my built Crawford short block. Switched to Church Performance and all is well. Oh and I was on e85 too. I feel your pain man. Good luck with whatever option you go with.

Thanks bro cars going to the shop this week hoping I just blew a head gasket. Rods didn't break through block thank God so most likely will be building on to this block. What compression ratio did you end up going with?
