Only when wet. I had the "freezing windows" TSBs done and it fixed it right up.

Mine took a shit at about 27K. Toyota refused to honor warranty.

I know guys with +100K hondas that have had their clutches dumped every stoplight/stop sign since new and the clutches still functioning perfectly. WTF, subaru/scion/toyota, WTF...

You have every right to take the car without them finishing the job. You do have to pay for the work they have completed since you authorized them to take it out for a inspection.

My finance guy even told me not to buy the extended warranty knowing that I work on cars for a living. Because it does not really cover anything that will wear out from use. And the normal warranty from my certified pre owned warranty will take care of.

like Tcoatty says, it is a wear item.... but can be fought under 25k. Call Toyota asap and explain. They might be able to cover up to 50%. Depends on rep there.

lmao dude, #@$! dealers. Seriously.

I know a guy that had to pay 2 hours labor for a disconnected coil pack. They wouldnt cover under warranty either because car wasnt dealer serviced so they claimed it was knocked loose by whoever was last under the hood. Even though no one was for 3 months.

Personally I have only had 1 good dealer experience. I steer FAR clear. That money you paying them will get you really nice service at an enthusiast shop. With any parts you want.

And yea, sometimes its better to cut your losses and learn never to go back. Just pay the bill and take it as a lesson learned. Take your "performance" car to a "performance" shop. I learned that by paying $1000 for an interval service on my last car. Which was basically an oil change, air filter, and rotor resurface. But I got the service adviser special 10% discount! lmao

If your engine is stock and you plan on keeping it that way, I'd go with OEM parts.

I work for a dealership and can personally tell you that the issues you had, AREN'T covered by ANY warranty except the 3-Year/36k bumper to bumper warranty. After that, your basically screwed. Its sad but true.

They should of told me before hand none of it was covered ..i would of went somewhere else. The new clutch items are good for 12 month unlimited miles. So back to square one in 2 years
