This car is fun!

It's a pretty basic set of parts to get there, and definitely more down the rally path than off roader 4x4 path.

Its actually surprisingly easy to get some off road/rally suspension for this car since th fronts are WRX and the rears are legacy, but it would most likely cost you a pretty penny (the limiting factor would be the control arms, be ready for lots of custom fabrication work).

I would suggest the Subtle solutions spacers

along with a smaller wheel and taller tires.

Have fun and good luck
Are you sure about the front and rear suspension? I recently watched a video of a Subaru Outback lifted four inches. If it is plausible to lift the FR-S an inch or so, it would certainly seem, within the realm of possibility, that it could be lifted a bit more. Would a three-to-four inch lift be a reasonable goal to achieve?

I guess I may have over simplified my statement. Not 100% sure about the suspension, its just that back when the car just came out, alot of existing subaru parts just so happened to fit the car. The mounts for the fronts came out to be very similar to the wrx while the rears similar to the legacy, but it doesn't mean that they are a direct swap.

I'm not so sure a 3"-4" lift is possible. You certainly might get a similar lift with a combination of a spacer and taller tires like somebody else posted. As I mentioned earlier, your limiting factor will be the control arms and the rear multi-link suspension.

The outback is lifted to begin with, so lifting it more might not be that big of a deal. I also have an outback and looked into lifting it with the Primitve kit. Because the outback has a multi link geometry rear suspension, lifting the rear involves subframe spacers. I would imagine that would be the same problem with our cars. Even if you were able to lift it that way, you would also need to do some other mods like toe link exensions, end link extensions, eccentric bolts or something to correct alignment, etc.

Like anything else, if you're willing to pay, anything is possible! Either way, looking forward to what ever you come up with. Good luck!

@JazzleSAURUS: That's your brz? What parts have you used for lifting it?
