this isn't even a hard take off. even slight acceleration from a stop and I get this clicking sound from what sounds like the rear left wheel area. is this normal or anything to worry about? I have never touched the suspension of the car. I've put on new wheels and that's about it.

Axle nut loose, or axle going bad.

If re-torquing the existing axle nut doesn't work, i'd replace the nut and re-torque. I had the exact same problem on both rear axles, the nuts fixed it

I had the same issue albeit on a different car. G35s were notorious for this and there was a TSB on it as well. The problem - axle nuts or axles themselves like everyone else had mentioned.

Torque is 90 or 95 iirc. But I'm not sure.
Found the problem. Something broken in the e-brake. It was loose and causing the click. Under warranty so I don't care.

Should I get a new nut or can I just retorque the one I have? I'm a little worried about the crimping of said nut, as it looks like there my be a special tool necessary to do this job. Thoughts?

Yes, its best to replace the nut (got mine for $7). No special tools needed, just a good flat head screw driver an a hammer. To remove, stick the screw driver at the key/cut-out on the axle to bend back the crimp. When you're done torquing down, use screw driver tip to tap down the crimp.
