Not worried about the mpg because e85 is a lot cheaper than 91 so it somewhat evens out. I'm more worried about any side effects to the motor.

Not that I'm the OP, but I have JDL UEL, and OFT E85 and it rips. Very noticeable power difference. Mileage sucks, but it's about a buck cheaper than 93 so it evens out. I'm going with a Motoeast flex fuel kit and ecutek though. Nothing wrong with OFT, just want flex fuel so I'm not locked in to a specific fuel grade.

I'm getting about 19 when I'm all city, and about 26 on the highway. Before I was about 24/31.

I've done a bit of reading on this as my GTR runs on e85. In short.. as long as you drive it regularly and run a tank of 91/93 thru it every couple months you will be fine.

What if I've been running e85 for 90% of the time. As soon as I hit 1k miles I swapped to e85. Now I'm at 13,6xx. So basically my car has only seen 1k miles of 93. I have no issues but should I switch back to 93 to be on the safe side? |

yeah i would. The real key is driving it regularly though. When you let it sit for weeks the e85 draws moisture out of the air, and it condenses as water at the bottom of the tank.
how are you driving it year round in nyc? you don't have any cold start issues in the dead of winter? |

No problems with e85 BUT out of the 6 months ice been using it, I have yet to get 85% ethanol.best I've had is 80% so I would not run a tune for 85% without flex fuel. If it's for 70% should be fine to my knowledge

Before it gets stored I run down the tank as low as I can go. I start the car 3 to 5 times a week and I let it run for 10 min or so. I fill up a 2 gallon canister with e85 for March when it returns to the road. |
