I would probably change the oil twice as often as you would on 93.

"If you are going to run E85 long term you should make sure your oil is E85 compatible (SN or GF-5 rated oils are generally Bio-fuel E85 compatible), and change your oil twice as often if your paranoid. If you get oil analysis done and your not showing fuel dilution you may be able to run standard oil change intervals, im just being safe here.

see here http://www.pqiamerica.com/apiserviceclass.htm

You may consider running something similar to Lucas Ethanol Treatment."

Thanks for the API oil link. I had read whole thread on e85 on a stock car and the more frequent oil changes with a compatible oil. I just didn't know if anyone had an offhand "you can get away with approx 5 tanks with no harmful effects". Worst comes to worst ill just change for the summer and use my dealership oil change right before winter.

Hi guys, I was going to upload a rom onto the OFT tonight and it came up with an error. The error appeared when I select upload only. I can browse other part of the OFM but just not the upload section. This happened once few days ago when I was doing the same thing however the OFM restarted on it own and then all my original rom's got deleted off the OFT. I was able to upload the original rom I had backed up and other rom's and flashed the tune without a problem.

I have tried reinstalling the OFM to the latest 1.21 and my current firmware ver is 1.33. I also tried different USB cable and on different computers, still the same error. Does anyone know what else I can do?

see the oft tips link below download the refsen.zip file unzip it
try installing the refsan.ttf to C:\windows\fonts directory

grab the latest template file as well 7.2 i think.

make sure you install ofm as administrator, maybe delete old version the reinstall from scratch if still issues.

Hey Steve I have installed the latest template file 7.2 and also download your zip file and installed the fonts. Reinstalled OMF from scratch, still having the same issue.

hmmm that weird.

the roms your uploading correspond to your original calid like A01G or whatever your original rom was.

If still no luck try deleting all the tuned rom files from oft .

Then try again.

If still no go then try writing back your original rom to car then "erase oft completly" then reload original rom and start from scratch

after that im pretty mich out of ideas you will have to contact OFT guys.

This is most likely a (dot).net error code. Try to (re)install the OFM win8 patch and the necessary dotnet packages (3.0, 3.5, 4.0, etc).

Hey Steve, yeah the rom is the right one, I will try see if I can flash it back to original rom and then erase OFT and start again.

I dont think the win8 patch will help.

if you have another computer try that , but the oft\ofm software does not like usb 3 ports.

could someone please help me?

I heard that you can modify a STG2 UEL 93 OCT tune to reduce the warmup period that is so loud. Could someone edit a file for me and send it to me? I'm not sure how to do it and I'm afraid I will mess up my tune and my ECU.

Thank you!

Never trust someone else to send you a tune unless it's an official vendor like OFT or a tuner.
