I'm going to also remind everyone that Carson is the ONLY dealer in our classifieds trying to sell us JDM parts right now. |

Why is everyone mad at a $3k mark up if they're getting leather?
My local stealership is asking $5k over msrp and it's COMPLETELY STOCK with no add-ons. They claim that it's the "current market value" ![]()

DI is also rumored... But I digress, I've been drinking and I derailed this thread filled with happiness and love. Please continue. P.s. The rental car fleet comment was sarcasm. Mustangs after the mach 1 were balls.

I walked away disspaointed. I WAS friends with the sales men on facebook, when he stated $25k RIGHT BEFORE i arrived. Then when i went straight for the car it was marked at $30k, and then i asked what the REAL price was, he said, "it's what you see there." So, i went back home on his fb page and put him and his stealership on blast and warned everyone not to buy there or over msrp w/o options...he deleted me shortly after that. lol

Leather might be a nice option...but not for anything close to $3000. For a car this small and the minimal amount of leather wrap, $1400 tops. I can have it done by the same shop that does the local Scion/Toyota too, for about $200 less.
I suggest anyone wanting leather find out who your local dealer uses and shop the price. It's the one option we don't know the "invoice" on, and will vary for each dealership or city/area. I know Cali is expensive, but $3k? |

You know if you guys at Carson Toyota HAD to add on a 3k option, why leather in a car that should have something that holds you better in the turns? Why not go over to Carson Toyota's part selection and get the 86 headlights? At least I think people on this forum would rather have some "JDM" parts then a leather option.
Seems like a win-win situation for the sales guys, parts guys and the customer would have some nice HIDs. Probably keeps the owner of Carson Toyota happy |

Thank you for listen to our feedback/ranting. I think most salesmen would of stopped listening right after a little bit of bashing.
![]() Anything performance oriented would be better then something that diminishes the purpose of this car, such as leather. I know there's other TRD parts in the 3k range like the coilovers that other enthusiast would might think about and not think of it as a rip off. Leather just isn't considered an upgrade around here. I know Carson Toyota's parts department has a good reputation, at least with the MR2 Spyder crowd so capitalize off that if you really need to make a few more bucks. |

true that, considering i can have the ENTIRE Modellista body kit and then some for less than 3k, them bloody leather seats can't justify the price in any ways.
