Yes that is with the OEM radiator. I didn't collect a lot of data when I upgraded to the misimoto radiator mainly because I don't remember doing another track day. Around the street the temps were about the same as the stock unit.

Has anyone considered using the Derale sandwich adapter? It looks like it would clear the lip.

Will it clear the lip on the stock oil filter pedestal?

Homebrew Oil Cooler (Setrab/Mocal)
I think it will be a problem. The corner square of the bored out area is just on the other side of the O-ring by half a mm or so (enough to make me think it would leak). Too bad because this appear to be a relatively cost effective solution compared to the $160 Mocal unit.
I shot an email over to Derale to see if they have ever confirmed fitment with a FRS/BRZ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Also, can you take more pictures of the adapter from all angles, and one with the area of concern.

Yeah they replied to me as well. I sent them some photos of the OEM filter gasket being slight too small to cover the opening and they said that one of their covers might work. Probably won't be until Monday until they're able to confirm. I would definitely prefer a solution where it does not depend on the brand of oil filter for it to work properly.

I'm guessing he was talking about a cover like in this photo.
