I used to have the Perrin rear shifter bushing with the TRD short shifter and it didn't feel right. Changing the shifter bushing for the TRD bushing and bracket feels a lot better as it relocates the rear carrier mounting point.

I had the bracket (Item 2) installed today. There is very little difference between the TRD bracket and OEM bracket. The TRD bracket assembly seems to hold the shift tower assembly slightly higher.
I didn't notice any change in the length of the gear throws after installing the part. Regards |

Just installed this. Got it for 156+tax. Not best deal probably.
Install took me about 3-4 hours. I did it all by putting my car on 2x4s and using jacks. Would be much easier with proper lift. I also really recommend having an assortment of ratchet extensions, i had to improvise a bit and it was difficult. My was really happy with the test drive. Throws are definitely shorter and they seem to pop into gear much more firmly. |

Just had this installed on Friday. I am not sure how I feel about it yet.
The throws are pretty dang short indeed, nice job of engineering. I can't help but feel like the msrp could be a little lower as they achieved their goal with the use about about $5 of parts. but I digress... Also the feel is very tight and notchy now. It will loosen up slowly over time, im sure, but at its current state, I'm not sure if I can actually shift a gear quicker because there is a little more resistance to motion now. |

Anyone here track their car pretty hard core with results? Mine has started to become rubbish so may need to figure out what is going on soon.

I'm about to go to the track this weekend but recently I've been getting a TON of slack in the shifter. I've re-tightened the bolt probably 4-5 times now, using bolt paste every time. Very concerning at the moment, not sure if you're having the same problem.

It does seem to have loosened up a bit, I'm still counting on it getting looser though. Still not sure if I am actually faster at shifting with this kit.
